Celebrity hairstylist Tippi Shorter is looking to raise the bar on textured hair education and styling. She has teamed with Swivel app founder Jihan Thompson to produce and curate the first-ever TEXTURE BEAUTY JAM for professional and emerging hairstylists on February 11 in New York City.
Dubbed an “elevated educational event,” the Texture Beauty Jam brings together a who’s who lineup of celebrity hairstylists, NAHA winners, artistic directors, and brand ambassador who are leading, creating and changing the visual narrative on textured hair.
Nai’vasha, Tym Wallace, Monaè Everett, Rachel Redd, Anthony Dickey, Dereq C, Jamal Edmonds, and Leysa Carillo will be joining Tippi on stage to show off their skills and share insider techniques on how to style naturally textured hair for print, film, and the red carpet.
The event features Mizani and Redken as top product sponsors, along with ShearShare, Hairrules, CoccoPro, DpHue, and GammaPiu included in the evening’s events, for giveaways, swag bags, and more.
The private event takes place February 11, 7-10 pm in New York City. Location details will be provided to registered attendees. A VIP meet and greet will be hosted at 5:30 pm. General doors open at 6 pm.
