Luxe by La

Statesboro, GA — Premium luxury braiding hair company, Luxe by La opened in July 2020 with a stellar start. In just 90 days, the new brand has already sold over 5,000 units of its hair product. Luxe by La braiding hair is currently offered in over a dozen beauty supply stores across the U.S. The hair is offered in three lengths and 18 colors and has been pre-stretched to guarantee quality for Luxe by La clients and customers.

Luxe by La is just one of a few braiding hair companies in the United States owned by Black women. Founder Lasharett Wilkerson has been a professional braider and stylist for over two decades. Wilkerson opened her salon, Studio Luxe by La to provide outstanding one to one service to her customers by a talented stylist. She specializes in box braids, jumbo braids, braided updo, and ponytail, among other styles. Now, Wilkerson has moved into offering quality braiding products on top of her salon’s experienced service.

While most braiders use synthetic hair, Luxe by La uses a healthier alternative made with harmless, non-toxic, and natural zinc sulfide microparticles. The hair is itch-free and antibacterial, lightweight, tangle-free, and has been tested on the human scalp to ensure effectiveness and no irritation.

“I honestly didn’t expect for it to take off as fast as it has,” said Wilkerson. “I’m truly grateful for every beauty supply store and woman who has trusted Luxe by La as their new hair partner. I look forward to many more women discovering a better alternative to what’s being offered.”
